After a week of glorious spring sunshine Saturday 31st of March brought us all back down to earth with rain and much colder weather. On this grey and wet morning West Bromwich Harriers turned out for the Midland Counties Road 12 Stage Relays at Sutton Park. We had an excellent turn out for the club, with 4 long 8 short stage runners covering the usual relay course over the park.

The first Walsall Arboretum Parkrun took place on the 10th March. Brilliantly supported and run by Kate Williams' team from the Walsall Council and beyond We had a couple of runners down there for the first run, Paul Mansell and John Buckby, with Claire Hodgkins and Tom Parrot turning up for the second. This looks to be a great Parkrun and we hope our running club will support this either through running or volunteering.

Another excellent turn out for the regular club 5K Time Trials. As suggested I have added the age graded times, which are highlighted in red. This certainly changes things significantly !
Well done all to those who took part, another trial will be scheduled for April. Results are as follows...

The West Bromwich Harriers headed to Wolverhampton for the final race in the cross country season knowing that to avoid relegation they would either have to put in the performance of the century or that another club didn't field the mandatory six runners. The final results confirm that the latter never happened, it was worth some hope though. However, for the performance of the century - now that's a little harder to explain if it did or in fact did not happen.
